Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Rhyme & Rhythm by Josh Reames for HKD 20,000.00 (€ 2,109.57). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Josh Reames have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Westest in April this year with an auction result of HKD 11,970.00 (€ 12,223.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Rhyme & Rhythm von Josh Reames für HKD 20.000,00 (€ 2.109,57) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Josh Reames auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Westest im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 11.970,00 (€ 12.223,71).
