It achieved a price of EUR 20,800.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claude Joseph Vernet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A View Of Avignon, From The Right Bank Of The Rhône Near Villeneuve in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 5,346,500.00 (€ 6,109,308.12).

Die Arbeit Vue Du Castel Nuovo À Naples von Claude Joseph Vernet wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion Old Master & XIXth Century Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 20.800,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Claude Joseph Vernet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A View Of Avignon, From The Right Bank Of The Rhône Near Villeneuve im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.346.500,00 (€ 6.109.308,12).
