Upper estimate price exceeded by 58 %.

In September 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Online | Part I: Property from the SØR Rusche Collection | Part II: Property from Various Owners, which included the work Mountainous River Landscape With Two Fishermen Casting A Net, And A Man With His Horse-Drawn Cart Travelling Along A Sandy Path by Claude Joseph Vernet. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 23,750.00 (€ 26,799.06), 58% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claude Joseph Vernet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A View Of Avignon, From The Right Bank Of The Rhône Near Villeneuve in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 5,346,500.00 (€ 6,109,308.12).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 58 % übertroffen

Im September 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Online | Part I: Property from the SØR Rusche Collection | Part II: Property from Various Owners durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mountainous River Landscape With Two Fishermen Casting A Net, And A Man With His Horse-Drawn Cart Travelling Along A Sandy Path von Claude Joseph Vernet zur Versteigerung kam. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A View Of Avignon, From The Right Bank Of The Rhône Near Villeneuve im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.346.500,00 (€ 6.109.308,12).
