This artwork by Joseph Highmore achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in June 2011. In the Old Master Paintings auction, the work Portrait Of Mrs. Joshua Iremonger sold for USD 34,375.00 (€ 23,669.35) - well above the upper estimate of USD 16,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Highmore - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Three girls, three-quarter-length, in blue, pink and oyster satin dresses, in a landscape, which sold at auction in December 2000 for GBP 44,650.00 (€ 71,127.05).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Joseph Highmore erzielte im Juni 2011 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Paintings wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of Mrs. Joshua Iremonger für USD 34.375,00 (€ 23.669,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 16.000,00.
