Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Young Lady Reading A Book by Charles-Joseph-Frédéric Soulacroix was sold in the 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART auction at Christies in London in December 2003. It changed hands for a price of GBP 39,435.00 (€ 55,854.51) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles-Joseph-Frédéric Soulacroix have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Three for tea in April 2000 with an auction result of GBP 201,750.00 (€ 345,387.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Young Lady Reading A Book von Charles-Joseph-Frédéric Soulacroix wurde im Dezember 2003 in der Auktion 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 39.435,00 (€ 55.854,51) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles-Joseph-Frédéric Soulacroix auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Three for tea im April 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 201.750,00 (€ 345.387,83).
