This artwork by Charles-Joseph-Frédéric Soulacroix achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in April 2007. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work French Dare I? sold for USD 66,000.00 (€ 48,316.25) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles-Joseph-Frédéric Soulacroix have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Three for tea in April 2000 with an auction result of GBP 201,750.00 (€ 345,387.83).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles-Joseph-Frédéric Soulacroix erzielte im April 2007 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art wurde die Arbeit French Dare I? für USD 66.000,00 (€ 48.316,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00.
