This artwork by Joseph Floch achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2012. In the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture Including the Collection of Dr. Mark and Irene Kauffman auction, the work Rockscape sold for USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,374.53) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Joseph Floch have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Frau im roten Kleid in July 2021 with an auction result of EUR 50,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Joseph Floch erzielte im März 2012 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture Including the Collection of Dr. Mark and Irene Kauffman wurde die Arbeit Rockscape für USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.374,53) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joseph Floch auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Frau im roten Kleid im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 50.000,00.
