Auction result misses estimated price range
In March last year a collector was able to acquire the work Cones et spheres by József Csáky for USD 75,312.50 (€ 67,891.91). This price was achieved in the auction The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by József Csáky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figure Dite Figure Abstraite, which sold at auction in October 2020 for EUR 214,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Cones et spheres von József Csáky für USD 75.312,50 (€ 67.891,91) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von József Csáky mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figure Dite Figure Abstraite beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für EUR 214.200,00 versteigert wurde.
