Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Study of a Goat by Joseph Crawhall. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,560.00 (€ 8,876.15) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Crawhall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Mallard Rising in November 2021 with an auction result of GBP 100,800.00 (€ 118,348.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study of a Goat von Joseph Crawhall zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.560,00 (€ 8.876,15) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Crawhall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Mallard Rising im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 100.800,00 (€ 118.348,68).
