Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Bonhams held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work White cock by Joseph Crawhall. The price achieved of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 11,867.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Joseph Crawhall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Mallard Rising in November 2021 with an auction result of GBP 100,800.00 (€ 118,348.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit White cock von Joseph Crawhall zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 11.867,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joseph Crawhall auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Mallard Rising im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 100.800,00 (€ 118.348,68).
