Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Lady Alighting from a Hansom Cab by Joseph Crawhall was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 59,174.34) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Joseph Crawhall have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2021 the work A Mallard Rising was auctioned for GBP 100,800.00 (€ 118,348.68).
