This work without title by Joseph Cornell was auctioned at Christies in New York in March this year. It achieved a price of USD 126,000.00 (€ 115,894.04), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Cornell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Medici Slot Machine in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 7,781,000.00 (€ 5,704,545.45).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Joseph Cornell kam im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 126.000,00 (€ 115.894,04) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Cornell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Medici Slot Machine im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.781.000,00 (€ 5.704.545,45).
