Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Servants Lunching by Joseph Bail for USD 25,000.00 (€ 18,390.47). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Joseph Bail have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2007 by the work Sisters of Charity Saying Grace Before a Meal at the Hospice in Beaune, France, (Le Benedicté) at USD 46,600.00 (€ 32,209.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Servants Lunching von Joseph Bail für USD 25.000,00 (€ 18.390,47) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Joseph Bail wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Oktober 2007 die Arbeit Sisters of Charity Saying Grace Before a Meal at the Hospice in Beaune, France, (Le Benedicté) mit USD 46.600,00 (€ 32.209,01).
