Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A silver jug and bowl on a wooden ledge by Joseph Bail was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2016. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,184.84). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Bail achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sisters of Charity Saying Grace Before a Meal at the Hospice in Beaune, France, (Le Benedicté) in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 46,600.00 (€ 32,209.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A silver jug and bowl on a wooden ledge von Joseph Bail kam im September 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.184,84) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Bail erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sisters of Charity Saying Grace Before a Meal at the Hospice in Beaune, France, (Le Benedicté) im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 46.600,00 (€ 32.209,01).
