In April 2012 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work An Interior with Women Polishing Brass by Joseph Bail. The price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 23,622.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Other works by Joseph Bail have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2007 the work Sisters of Charity Saying Grace Before a Meal at the Hospice in Beaune, France, (Le Benedicté) was auctioned for USD 46,600.00 (€ 32,209.01).
