Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Orchids by Josef Scharl was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Auction auction at Sothebys in Cologne in April last year. The price achieved of EUR 3,528.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Josef Scharl achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Der Abend in June 2018 with an auction result of EUR 150,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Orchids von Josef Scharl wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Auction bei Sothebys in Köln versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.528,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Josef Scharl erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Der Abend im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 150.000,00.
