Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2000 Christies in New York held the auction American Paintings, which included the work Kneeling Female Nude by Mario Joseph Korbel. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,116.25 (€ 1,169.46) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mario Joseph Korbel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Andante' (Dancing Girls) in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 48,615.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2000 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kneeling Female Nude von Mario Joseph Korbel zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.116,25 (€ 1.169,46) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mario Joseph Korbel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Andante' (Dancing Girls) im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 48.615,43).
