Sold at the upper estimate price
In June 2014 Christies in New York held the auction An American Dynasty: The Clark Family Treasures, which included the work Venus by Mario Joseph Korbel. The auction ended at the price of USD 4,000.00 (€ 2,921.84), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mario Joseph Korbel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Andante' (Dancing Girls) in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 48,615.43).
