Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Surrealist compositions by Josef Istler was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,502.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Josef Istler have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2014 the work without title was auctioned for SEK 160,000.00 (€ 17,730.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Surrealist compositions von Josef Istler kam im Juni 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.502,86) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Josef Istler konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2014 die Arbeit ohne Titel für SEK 160.000,00 (€ 17.730,35) versteigert.
