The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,386.00 (€ 1,197.20), 73% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Josef Herman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Irish Scene in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 35,614.79).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.386,00 (€ 1.197,20) und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Josef Herman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Irish Scene im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.000,00 (€ 35.614,79).
