Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work On the river at dusk by José Weiss for GBP 358.50 (€ 537.88). This price was achieved in the auction Maritime Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by José Weiss achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work September On The Arun in October 2013 with an auction result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,034.28).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit On the river at dusk von José Weiss für GBP 358,50 (€ 537,88) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Maritime Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von José Weiss erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit September On The Arun im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.034,28).
