Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Landscape with cattle grazing; River landscape, a pair the first 16.5 x 27.3cm (6 1/2 x 10 3/4in); the second 13.6 x 23.5cm (5 3/8 x 9 1/4in). (2) by José Weiss was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 484.50 (€ 561.42). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by José Weiss achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work September On The Arun in October 2013 with an auction result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,034.28).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Landscape with cattle grazing; River landscape, a pair the first 16.5 x 27.3cm (6 1/2 x 10 3/4in); the second 13.6 x 23.5cm (5 3/8 x 9 1/4in). (2) von José Weiss im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 484,50 (€ 561,42) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von José Weiss erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit September On The Arun im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.034,28).
