Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Skin by José Paredes Jardiel was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 250.00 (€ 320.34). Admittedly, works by José Paredes Jardiel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La cabra in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,725.67).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Skin von José Paredes Jardiel im Februar 2016 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 250,00 (€ 320,34) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von José Paredes Jardiel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La cabra im Juli 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.725,67).
