In December 2012 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Still life with mandolin, castagnets and vase of Hibiscus flowers by José María Bracho Murillo. The result of USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,550.28) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Other works by José María Bracho Murillo have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2019 the work A still life with a vase of lilacs, a rose and a conch shell on a table; An amphora shaped vase, a basket of peonies, an abalone shell and pansies on a draped table (a pair) was auctioned for USD 6,325.00 (€ 5,646.82).
