Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Hibiscus, Freesias, Dahlias, And Bluebells On A Marble Topped Sideboard by José María Bracho Murillo for GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,167.18). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by José María Bracho Murillo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A still life with a vase of lilacs, a rose and a conch shell on a table; An amphora shaped vase, a basket of peonies, an abalone shell and pansies on a draped table (a pair) in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 6,325.00 (€ 5,646.82).
Freilich wurden Arbeiten von José María Bracho Murillo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A still life with a vase of lilacs, a rose and a conch shell on a table; An amphora shaped vase, a basket of peonies, an abalone shell and pansies on a draped table (a pair) im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.325,00 (€ 5.646,82).
