Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A camelia, forget-me-nots, roses and other flowers on a stone ledge in a landscape; and A peony, poppies, dandelion and other flowers on a wooden ledge by José María Bracho Murillo was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in April 2011. The price achieved of GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,830.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by José María Bracho Murillo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A still life with a vase of lilacs, a rose and a conch shell on a table; An amphora shaped vase, a basket of peonies, an abalone shell and pansies on a draped table (a pair), which sold at auction in April 2019 for USD 6,325.00 (€ 5,646.82).
