This artwork by Jose Legaspi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian auction, the work without title sold for HKD 225,000.00 (€ 21,351.33) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jose Legaspi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in October 2014 with the realized price of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 25,738.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jose Legaspi erzielte im Oktober 2013 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für HKD 225.000,00 (€ 21.351,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jose Legaspi; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 25.738,23).
