Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work THELMA; THE MORGUE by Jose Legaspi. The price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,273.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Other works by Jose Legaspi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2014 the work without title was auctioned for HKD 250,000.00 (€ 25,738.23).

Im Mai 2017 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit THELMA; THE MORGUE von Jose Legaspi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.273,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Jose Legaspi konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2014 die Arbeit ohne Titel für HKD 250.000,00 (€ 25.738,23) versteigert.
