Auction result well in line with expectations
The work San José Con El Niño Jesús by José de Paez was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 12,490.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by José de Paez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Santísima Trinidad Y San Miguel Arcángel, which sold at auction in November 2011 for USD 53,125.00 (€ 39,489.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit San José Con El Niño Jesús von José de Paez kam im November 2012 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 12.490,39) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
