The work Nuestra Señora Del Refugio by José de Paez was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2011. The result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 17,390.09) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by José de Paez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Santísima Trinidad Y San Miguel Arcángel, which sold at auction in November 2011 for USD 53,125.00 (€ 39,489.33).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Nuestra Señora Del Refugio von José de Paez kam im Mai 2011 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 17.390,09) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von José de Paez mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Santísima Trinidad Y San Miguel Arcángel beobachtet, die im November 2011 für USD 53.125,00 (€ 39.489,33) versteigert wurde.
