Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An afternoon in the garden by Henri-Jozef Pauwels was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2005. The price achieved of GBP 480.00 (€ 707.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri-Jozef Pauwels achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scène d'intérieur au jardin in March last year with an auction result of USD 16,562.50 (€ 14,930.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit An afternoon in the garden von Henri-Jozef Pauwels kam im Oktober 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 480,00 (€ 707,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri-Jozef Pauwels erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scène d'intérieur au jardin im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.562,50 (€ 14.930,59).
