Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Rhythmus Diev Diagonal 3 by Jorinde Voigt was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 4,032.00 (€ 3,634.72). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jorinde Voigt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work „Perm I“, „Perm II“, „Perm III“ in July 2020 with an auction result of EUR 175,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Rhythmus Diev Diagonal 3 von Jorinde Voigt im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 4.032,00 (€ 3.634,72) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jorinde Voigt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit „Perm I“, „Perm II“, „Perm III“ im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 175.000,00.
