Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2009 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Escombros #8 by Jorge Tacla. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 11,250.00 (€ 7,503.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jorge Tacla - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Medium Rare, which sold at auction in June 2000 for USD 17,625.00 (€ 18,465.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2009 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Escombros #8 von Jorge Tacla zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 7.503,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jorge Tacla mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Medium Rare beobachtet, die im Juni 2000 für USD 17.625,00 (€ 18.465,17) versteigert wurde.
