Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Centre Of Gravity by Jorge Tacla was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,809.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jorge Tacla - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Medium Rare, which sold at auction in June 2000 for USD 17,625.00 (€ 18,465.17).

Die Arbeit Centre Of Gravity von Jorge Tacla kam im November 2013 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.809,05) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jorge Tacla mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Medium Rare beobachtet, die im Juni 2000 für USD 17.625,00 (€ 18.465,17) versteigert wurde.
