Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fuerza Ancestral by Jorge Jiménez Deredia was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in November 2013. It changed hands for a price of USD 75,000.00 (€ 55,122.74) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jorge Jiménez Deredia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pareja in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 675,000.00 (€ 612,578.27).

Die Arbeit Fuerza Ancestral von Jorge Jiménez Deredia wurde im November 2013 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 55.122,74) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jorge Jiménez Deredia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pareja im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 675.000,00 (€ 612.578,27).
