Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Arraigo by Jorge Jiménez Deredia. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,635.30) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jorge Jiménez Deredia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pareja in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 675,000.00 (€ 612,578.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Arraigo von Jorge Jiménez Deredia zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 33.635,30) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jorge Jiménez Deredia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pareja im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 675.000,00 (€ 612.578,27).
