The work Numis by Jorge Jiménez Deredia was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2017. The »bidding war« ended at USD 93,750.00 (€ 83,437.17), 44% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jorge Jiménez Deredia have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pareja in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 675,000.00 (€ 612,578.27).

Die Arbeit Numis von Jorge Jiménez Deredia wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 83.437,17) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jorge Jiménez Deredia auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pareja im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 675.000,00 (€ 612.578,27).
