Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Beso by Jorge Jiménez Deredia. It changed hands for a price of USD 75,000.00 (€ 67,355.19) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jorge Jiménez Deredia have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pareja in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 675,000.00 (€ 612,578.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Beso von Jorge Jiménez Deredia zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 67.355,19) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jorge Jiménez Deredia auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pareja im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 675.000,00 (€ 612.578,27).
