Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Esperanza by Jorge Jiménez Deredia was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2016. The result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,961.38) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jorge Jiménez Deredia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pareja in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 675,000.00 (€ 612,578.27).

Die Arbeit Esperanza von Jorge Jiménez Deredia wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.961,38) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jorge Jiménez Deredia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pareja im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 675.000,00 (€ 612.578,27).
