Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin America: Modern Art, which included the work Quipus 44-B by Jorge Eielson. The price achieved of USD 28,750.00 (€ 27,220.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jorge Eielson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Quipus 32 D-7, which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 87,500.00 (€ 74,978.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin America: Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Quipus 44-B von Jorge Eielson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 28.750,00 (€ 27.220,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jorge Eielson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Quipus 32 D-7 beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für USD 87.500,00 (€ 74.978,58) versteigert wurde.
