Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Alquimista by Jorge Jiménez Deredia. Here, the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 43,750.00 (€ 35,384.99). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jorge Jiménez Deredia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pareja in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 675,000.00 (€ 612,578.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Alquimista von Jorge Jiménez Deredia zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 43.750,00 (€ 35.384,99) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jorge Jiménez Deredia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pareja im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 675.000,00 (€ 612.578,27).
