In May 2021 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction The Curator’s Eye: The Collection of Professor Dr Karin von Maur, which included the work Petite Dormeuse by Jorge Castillo. The result of EUR 500.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jorge Castillo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wall Street I in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 60,250.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2021 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion The Curator’s Eye: The Collection of Professor Dr Karin von Maur durch, in der auch die Arbeit Petite Dormeuse von Jorge Castillo zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 500,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jorge Castillo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wall Street I im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.250,00.
