Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Interior Azul y Rosa by Jorge Castillo was auctioned at Bonhams in May this year. The price achieved of USD 1,402.50 (€ 1,316.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jorge Castillo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wall Street I in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 60,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Interior Azul y Rosa von Jorge Castillo kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.402,50 (€ 1.316,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jorge Castillo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wall Street I im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.250,00.
