In May this year Bonhams held the auction Studio Art | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work Jarro Decorado by Jorge Castillo. The »bidding war« ended at USD 484.50 (€ 454.76), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jorge Castillo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wall Street I in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 60,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Studio Art | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jarro Decorado von Jorge Castillo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 484,50 (€ 454,76) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jorge Castillo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wall Street I im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.250,00.
