In July 2000 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work A punter along the riverside by Joop Kropff. The »bidding war« ended at NLG 1,755.30 (€ 771.57), 46% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joop Kropff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Village Street, which sold at auction in June 2001 for NLG 4,465.00 (€ 2,146.09).

Im Juli 2000 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A punter along the riverside von Joop Kropff zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von NLG 1.755,30 (€ 771,57) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Joop Kropff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Village Street beobachtet, die im Juni 2001 für NLG 4.465,00 (€ 2.146,09) versteigert wurde.
