In June 2005 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work At The Beach by Joop Kropff. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,920.00 60% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Joop Kropff; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A Village Street sold at auction in June 2001 with the realized price of NLG 4,465.00 (€ 2,146.09).

Im Juni 2005 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit At The Beach von Joop Kropff zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.920,00 und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Joop Kropff; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit A Village Street im Juni 2001 mit dem Hammerpreis von NLG 4.465,00 (€ 2.146,09).
