Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2004 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work Vrije Compositie by Joop Kropff. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 700.00 – 900.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 717.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joop Kropff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Village Street, which sold at auction in June 2001 for NLG 4,465.00 (€ 2,146.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2004 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vrije Compositie von Joop Kropff zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 717,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Joop Kropff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Village Street beobachtet, die im Juni 2001 für NLG 4.465,00 (€ 2.146,09) versteigert wurde.
