Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2001 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS INCL. COPIES AFTER OMPIX, which included the work Sailing boats in a harbour by Joop Kropff. The price achieved of EUR 1,057.50 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 910.00 – 1,400.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joop Kropff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Village Street, which sold at auction in June 2001 for NLG 4,465.00 (€ 2,146.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2001 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS INCL. COPIES AFTER OMPIX durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sailing boats in a harbour von Joop Kropff zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.057,50 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 910,00 – 1.400,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Joop Kropff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Village Street beobachtet, die im Juni 2001 für NLG 4.465,00 (€ 2.146,09) versteigert wurde.
