Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work A Still Life With Geraniums by Joop Kropff for EUR 540.00. This price was achieved in the auction Pictures Watercolours and Drawings at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joop Kropff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Village Street, which sold at auction in June 2001 for NLG 4,465.00 (€ 2,146.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Still Life With Geraniums von Joop Kropff für EUR 540,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Pictures Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Joop Kropff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Village Street beobachtet, die im Juni 2001 für NLG 4.465,00 (€ 2.146,09) versteigert wurde.
