Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Birds At Dawn by Jonathan Winters for USD 1,375.00 (€ 1,224.29). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Jonathan Winters have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Doesn'T Everyone Have A Pear in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,790.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Birds At Dawn von Jonathan Winters für USD 1.375,00 (€ 1.224,29) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jonathan Winters auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Doesn'T Everyone Have A Pear im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.790,94).
